The type of reaction in step II is neutralization. The chemical equation is Fe2O3 + H2SO4 -> Fe2(SO4)3 + H2O. c.) The observation is reddish brown ppt will be formed insoluble in excess sodium hydroxide. d) To obtain brown crystals of G, heat the yellow solution of G to saturation and leave it to cool for crystallization to take place. Brown crystal of G will be formed gradually & filter the mixture to obtain crystal of G. Wash the crystals with cold distilled water & dry between filter papers. Got it?????
