Teacher, pls help me with question part a) & part c). Thank you! Hi Marc, for part a) the equation is N2 + O2 -> NO2. In the engine of the motor vehicle, due to the high operating temperature, oxygen & nitrogen gases from the surrounding atmosphere will react to produce nitrogen dioxide in the internal combustion of the engines. For part c), amount of sulfur dioxide produced from vehicle A = 16.5% X 1kg = 0.165kg and amount of Sulfur dioxide produced from vehicle B = 6.9% X 1kg = 0.069kg. Hence, vehicle A produces greater amount of Sulfur dioxide than vehicle B & thus, vehicle A contributes more towards acid rain to the environment. You got it? ????
